Emma Jean Seeley Pagels
Mrs. Emma Jean Seeley Pagels, age 68, of 262 Vickery Road, Toccoa, Ga., passed away at her residence on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.
A daughter of the late Joseph F. Seeley, Sr. and Ruby Round Seeley, she was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Kansas City, Kansas and lived in Toccoa, Ga., since 1979. She was a graduate of Piedmont College with a BS Degree and a Master of Special Education Degree from Clemson. She was a retired 2nd grade teacher from Liberty Elementary School, a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church, a member of Toccoa PBX, member of Stephens County FFA Alumni and former Director of Special Olympics.
Survivors include daughters, Edna and son-in-law, Ricky Roper, Canon, Ga., Cathy and son-in-law, Jeff Ventura, Toccoa, Ga., son Bill and daughter-in-law, Gregg Pagels, Toccoa, Ga., grandchildren, Ryan Roper, Robyn and Corey Thompson, Julie and Seth Williams, Jake Pagels, James Earwood, Stephen Earwood, Jeffery and Lisha Ventura, Jordyn Ventura, Reece Ventura; great-grandchildren, Laci and Landry; brother, Joseph and sister-in-law, Kathy Seeley, Toccoa, Ga.; sister, Carol Halderham, Birmingham, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service was held Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 4:30 p.m. at Tates Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.
