Doris A. (Seeley) Sayers, 66, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996, from injuries suffered in a traffic accident near Bellevue.
She was born June 13, 1930, in Lawton to Gary and Hazel (Fockler) Seeley and was a 1948 graduate of Bellevue High School.
She was employed for several years in the data processing department of Transamerica Insurance Co. and retired after 20 years in the telecommunications department at Kelloff Co.
Surviving are sons, David Sayers of Kansas City, Mo., Arthur and Phillip Sayers of Battle Creek and Jeff Sayers of Kingswood, Texas; daughters, Connie Goodman of Battle Creek, Cheryl Lussier of Battle Creek and Cathy Goodman of Grand Ledge; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Hazel Hales of Bellevue; brothers, Paul Seeley of Bellevue and Ralph “Pete” Hales of Battle Creek; and special friend Jim Semrau of Battle Creek.
Community involvement, hobbies: Active in Bellevue Schools and Bellevue Band Boosters while her children were growing up.
