Illness Is Fatal To Della Steiger
Mrs. Della Steiger, 86, 14 Drinker St., Montrose, died Saturday in Montrose General Hospital after an illness.
Born in Springville Twp, daughter of the late Martin Nicholas and Mary Susann Greene Seely, she was a graduate of the 1896 class of Montrose High School. She taught school for many years in Susquehanna County, retiring in 1931. Mrs. Steiger was a member of United Methodist Church, Montrose.
Surviving are three nephews, Bryce Parker, Forest Lake; Donald Seely, Sheds, N.Y., and Arden Seely, Deansboro, N.Y.; several grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from a funeral home, 74 Church St., Montrose, with services by Rev. George I. Dickinson, pastor of United Methodist Church, Montrose. Interment, South Montrose Cemetery. Friends may call this evening.
