Florence (Seeley) King

Bar Harbor, Aug. 29 – Mrs. Florence (Seeley) King, 77, widow of the late Charles King, of Salisbury Cove, died Tuesday at an Ellsworth Nursing home after a long illness.

She was born in Waltham, Dec. 28, 1873, the daughter of Joshua and Mrs. Sylvia (Jordan) Seeley, of Minneapolis, Minn.  She was a member of the Bar Harbor Congregational church; of Bayview Grange, Salisbury Cove; and of the Independent Order of Foresters.

She is survived by three sons, Walter and Reginald of Bar Harbor, and Lewis of Bath; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Gray, of Bar Harbor; one brother, Walter Seeley, and a sister, Mrs. Beatrix LaBlanc, both of Duluth, Minn; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Town Hill church, the Rev. Goldwin Pollard, pastor of the Larger Parish, Seal Harbor, officiating.

Burial will be in the family lot in Mountainview cemetery, Town hill, with George Grindle of Hulls Cove offering prayer at the cemetery.
