Clarice Luella Seelye
Clarice Luella Seelye, age 87, of Deer River, MN, passed away at the St. Mary’s Hospital on February 15, 2010.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 18, at the Carroll Funeral Home and celebration of her life was held at the new Bena Community Center on Friday, February 19.
Clarice was born on July 13, 1922, in Ebro, MN, the daughter of Erma and Thomas Drumbeater. She married Earl Seelye on June 6, 1941. They spent their married life in Bena, MN, raising their four children, Sandra, Earl Jr. (Bro), Terry and Lenny.
She enjoyed the beautiful north woods of the Leech Lake Reservation and the joy of her life was her family and friends.
Clarice is survived by her daughter Sandra Sleigh of Lake Dallas; son Lenny of Deer River; grandchildren: Craig Seelye (Deer River), Dustin Seelye, Bradley Sleigh, Amber Sleigh (Texas) Brian Sleigh (Georgia); and eight great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Earl, sons Terry and Earl Jr. (Bro). She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
