Kent Sealey, Sr., 64, of High Point, passed away at his home on September 15, 2011. He was born in High Point on March 6, 1947 to the late Claude R. and Edith C. Sealey. He graduated from Riedsville Senior High School in 1965 and was a member of the U.S. Air Force having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also graduated with a bachelor’s degree from John Wesley College in High Point and was a retired minister. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting vintage TV shows and movies, which he enjoyed for many hours at a time. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in High Point. He is survived by his son, Kent Sealey and his wife Jennifer of Opelika, Alabama and his brother Rick Sealey and his wife Cathy of High Point. He has a very special granddaughter, Alexandria (Alex) Sealey and grandchildren; Justin and Jessica Johnson of Opelika, Alabama and is also survived by many special cousins and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, September 22nd from 6- 8 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Service on E. Lexington Avenue in High Point. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23rd in the chapel of First United Methodist Church on North Main Street in High Point with the Reverend Chris Fitzgerald officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 300, High Point, NC 27261 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
