Elinore F. (nee Stritt), age 95, of Hawthorne, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Born in West Hoboken and raised in West New York, Elinore had lived in Weehawken before moving to Hawthorne in 1954. A homemaker, Elinore had worked in her family’s bakery and as an inspector for Mobile Fabrics in Hawthorne. Elinore was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glen Rock for many years, where she was a member of the choir, the Quilting Society and WELCA. Elinore was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Seela (1996) with whom she enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing. Loving mother of Robert Seela and his wife Lisa of Wayne and Junne Seela of Sequim, WA. Dear grandmother of Jeffrey Seela and his wife Sabrina and Jamie Seela and her partner Chris Cherry. Dearest great-grandmother of Robbie, Pietro, Liam and Oliver. Sister of the late August Stritt, Jr. and the late Louise Donadt. Elinore is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at 10 AM on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 233 S. Highwood Ave., Glen Rock. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends may visit on Sunday from 3-6 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a church or charity of your choice.
