Ernest Seeley-Clark

Ernest (Ernie) Edgar Seeley-Clark died at his home in The Dalles, Ore., on Aug. 10, 2006. He was 56.

Mr. Seeley-Clark was born in White Salmon on May 8, 1950, to Fred and Ina Seeley. Later in life, he was adopted by Ervin E. and Ellen Genevieve (Beer) Clark.

He grew up and graduated high school in White Salmon. He never missed a day of school. He married Jean Huff on March 1, 1982, in The Dalles.

A longtime resident of The Dalles, Mr. Seeley-Clark worked at the aluminum plant for eight years before becoming a machinist for Burlington Northern Railroad.

He was a member of the Railroad Union, and enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and travel. He was loved by his children.

Survivors include his wife, Jean, of The Dalles; son Brandon Scott Clark, The Dalles; daughter Amanda Lynn Clark, Brush Prairie; brothers Ronnie Seeley of Seattle, Vincent Seeley of Portland, Ore., David Clark of White Salmon and Ben Clark of White Salmon; and sisters Laura Nowlin, Dutton, Mont., and Bonnie Rapelje, Murdock.

Mr. Seeley-Clark was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at Sorosis Park in The Dalles on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006. A private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby, and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
